Philanthropist all over the globe take part in an annual event designed in 2003 to bring awareness to cancer patients suffering the process of hair loss. Some of the youngest patients being children. With many others, unfortunately being our sons, fathers, and friends who are stricken with prostate cancer.
“No Shave November” embraces the concept of growing your hair wild and free. The rules are simple, put down your clippers for a period of thirty days. Using your hair maintenance expenses as a financial donation to the cancer program of your choice. Legitimate agencies use those generous funds to support families with expenses. Cancer research programs benefit immensely from donations given by participants of No Shave November.
Rugged Evolution Foundation proudly accepted the challenge for their Hampton Roads, Virginia community. A heart-felt donation was presented to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, to be used as deemed necessary. CEO J. Arrington Gavin put out a call to action via WTAR Sports Radio, AM 850. Followed by a positive community response, he was successful in capturing the attention of others who resonate with men’s health issues. We are proud of this young entrepreneur’s vision to support his community one event at a time.
